The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mid engineer with a strong inclination towards Site Reliability Engineering to join one of the largest internet service providers in Europe. Your main focus will be on monitoring services, servers and devices – you will join the SMSA (Service Monitoring, Service Assurance) squad, working on managing, enhancing, and implementing monitoring solutions, both third-party industrial-standard software and in-house developed ones.

The top priority for the team is to support mission-critical systems in an operational state and perform maintenance of monitoring solutions and services.

The position involves working within one dedicated team of engineers across several sub-projects within the client's organization, including managing both passive and proactive monitoring platforms, supporting pipelines, and reacting on incidents.

The work scope is not limited to support and maintenance. Due to the vast nature of the existing networks and multiple solutions, it is essential to pursue a policy of unification – the team has the power to affect the solutions' landscape and push improvements that bring a positive impact on the stability and efficiency of network operations.

This is a flexible role rather than a single fixed project – you'll work against an evolving backlog of monitoring and service assurance initiatives, and your exact focus areas will be shaped around your strengths as you settle into the team.

What We Expect

• Solid scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell)
• Good operating systems knowledge, with a focus on Linux
• Excellent knowledge of networking
• Experience with Logstash, Filebeat, Metricbeat, Elasticsearch, Kibana
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Ansible and Git
• Experience with passive monitoring suites (Nagios, Icinga, Cacti)
• Understanding of active monitoring suites (Selenium, Playwright)
• Result-oriented engineering mindset, comfortable working in a standalone mode
• Strong English communication skills
• Nice to have: Programming experience (Python, Golang, or similar)

The gross salary in this position is 3100-4200 EUR/month. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
