Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Cupertino, CA Openings: 4
The Information Security Business Intelligence team delivers metrics and information to support decision making across the Information Security organization. We are seeking an extraordinary analyst who can thrive in an environment where both individual drive and team collaboration are critical. This role will be responsible for driving the use of data to provide actionable insights to the Information Security organization.
Description
The Business Intelligence team is central to delivering key information, metrics, analysis, and related resources to the Information Security organization. The ideal candidate must excel at researching solutions and collaborating across Information Security and other organizations in support of the BI team’s mission.
- Collaborate with Information Security stakeholders to identify the priority security questions that require measurement and analysis to answer
- Recommend appropriate metrics to answer each priority question
- Collaborate with functional owners to identify the data sources and data required to produce the required metrics
- Assess the fitness for use of available data and inform domain and/or data source owners when data maturity, availability or quality are inadequate
- Collaborate with the Data Engineers, Analysts, and other resources to deliver and maintain metrics via a web portal
- Develop deep, working knowledge of processes and objectives across multiple Information Security domains to ground metrics in operational reality
- Bring rigor and repeatable quality standards to metrics development in the absence of centralized data governance
- Present metrics and insights to stakeholders and senior leaders in clear, accessible terms
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in data analytics, preferably in senior or leadership roles
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders
- Comfortably and quickly adapt to changes in priorities to best support the needs of our business
- Ability to lead data investigations and analysis projects with ambiguous requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Information Security domain
- Strong familiarity with formal research methods and reporting
