Your Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for the Manufacturing team, who will report to the Plant Director at the Els Monjos plant. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the site’s capital investment (CAPEX) strategy and technical innovation projects to support the long-term growth of the factory. You will lead CAPEX and engineering project pipeline, including new equipment introduction, process development, and technical improvements.

What you will do

•            Plan and execute engineering projects from conceptual design through basic and detailed design ensuring all the stages of early management engineering to ensure perfect fit of the project having into account all the inputs from the functions and clients.

•            Define, align with production, plan and follow detailed trials plan,  commissioning, qualification and validation of projects until the handover.

•            Ensure the right culture within the team, empowering and using tools for root cause analysis, losses identification and enhance the lessons learned culture to grow the team and build capabilities.

•            Manage the site's master plan, including infrastructure, utility systems, and new production lines.

•            Ensure "Vertical Startups" for new equipment, hitting project targets, as OEE, in the shortest possible time.

 

What we are looking for

Required Experience

•            Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.

•            Certifications: Advanced certification in Project Management

•            Specialization: Deep understanding of Hygienic Design for food/petfood manufacturing and familiarity with environmental sustainability standards (ISO 14001).

•            7+ years in engineering management, specifically in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.

•            Proven track record of managing multi-million euro CAPEX budgets from conceptual design to final commissioning.

•            Direct experience in Greenfield projects, including the installation of specialized equipment as mixers, extruders, dryers, and high speed packaging systems.

•            Expertise in local building codes, safety regulations (ATEX, CE), and hygiene standards (HACCP).
