Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS, such as:
o Oracle (e.g. RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, Exadata), or
o DB2, or
o PostgreSQL, or
o SQL Server
- Ability to learn and adopt new database technologies quickly.
- Experience with shell scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python/Ansible—depending on platform).
- Strong understanding of IT operations, including incident/change management and controlled production practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
- Strong organisation skills: methodical, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines, including out-of-hours support when required.
