Software Engineer Senior: Job Description:

Requirements:

  • Having 4 - 7 years’ experience in Data warehouse/ETL/ELT projects.
  • Strong experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage job design, parallel processing, and administration to monitor and support the pipelines.
  • Develop/support shell script to processes/Load/transform data from various sources using DataStage.
  • Support control-M for orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring of data workflows.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or discrepancies.
  • Write and debug SQL queries. Develop and maintain Linux shell scripting to automate operational tasks.
  • Supporting linux/windows server patching, password management, vulnerability fixes, validations etc.
  • Document processes, workflows, and configurations for reference and future improvements.

Must to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Datawarehouse support engineer or similar role.
  • Strong experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage job design, parallel processing, and administration.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and handle the control-M job flows.
  • Proficiency in Oracle/SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
  • Solid hands-on experience navigating Linux environments, including command-line navigation, log analysis, and process automation.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and building data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Snowflake Cloud Platform.
  • Certifications in Datastage/Linux will be a plus.
  • Experience in server patching, scripting, manage passwords
