The Project Manager, FFE (Furniture, Fittings and Equipment) is an exciting new role working on major capital projects, delivering great outcomes for Monash Health and our community. The role sits within the Capital team providing a coordinated approach to the delivery of major projects.

As a member of the Capital and Infrastructure projects team, and reporting to the Head of Capital and Infrastructure, the Project Manager - FFE will work with other team members and clinical users in the planning and delivery of various capital projects across Monash Health with a particular focus on the management of the Fit-out, Furniture and Equipment (FFE) for projects.

Key projects currently being delivered by the Capital Projects team include:

• Casey Emergency Department Development

• Monash Medical Centre, Clayton tower expansion

• Dandenong Hospital Expansion project

• Other projects within the remit of Capital and Infrastructure.

The role will be responsible for the oversight, coordination, reporting in the day-to-day management of FFE within the project framework

The role will be responsible for all FFE planning from the conception of the project to the end delivery and commissioning of the project. Key elements will include the development of FFE schedules, planning for FFE management, planned procurement and implementation.

The role will include working with project consultants, liaising with suppliers and contractors, raising purchase requisitions, delivery coordination and placement, delivery receipting and payment of invoices. Strong documentation skills are critical to the role including the management of large spreadsheets, coordinating inputs and advice across the organisation and working with external project consultants, internal parties e.g. Procurement and external parties in tender and sourcing activities.

An essential part of this role will be to establish a centralised system of management of FFE that will provide for consistency of practise and structure to the implementation of FFE across projects.

The person will demonstrate strong stakeholder and communication skills; the ability to facilitate group discussions, with demonstrated ability to lead and create consensus. Critical to the management and selection of FFE will be engagement of key parties inclusive of Procurement, Support Services, Engineering and Clinical Engineering, Security, Occupational Health and Safety, clinicians and consumers.
