Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Mechanicsville, VA Job Type: Contract, Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver IT projects using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from planning through successful delivery.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and milestones.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, and Demos.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, business teams, Product Owners, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Track project progress, risks, costs, and team metrics.
  • Remove project blockers and promote continuous improvement.

Required:

  • Active PMP certification.
  • Documented project risk management experience.
  • Experience as PM of Record for a Commonwealth Category 1 or 2 project valued at $5M+, or a non-Commonwealth project valued at more than $10M.
  • Strong IT project management and Agile/Scrum experience.

Preferred: Commonwealth PM certification and SAFe experience.
