Data Center Rack & Stack Engineer (Contract)
Position Details
- Contract position
- Onsite, Monday–Friday, 1st shift hours
- 40 hours per week
- 6 month contract with strong possibility of extension
- $55/hour
- Target start date: ASAP
Position Overview
Seeking intermediate-level Data Center Rack & Stack Engineer to support day-to-day operations for a large retail client within an enterprise data center environment. This role is focused on hands-on execution and physical infrastructure support rather than senior-level architecture or engineering responsibilities. Very busy position!

- Mount rails, brackets, and supporting equipment
- Perform structured cabling, patching, labeling, and cable management
- Validate power connections and connectivity
- Assist with basic hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Manage inventory, equipment staging, and asset handling
- Provide general physical data center support and operational assistance
