UMAX is the brand name of our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables them to better engage with their customers. UMAX is a cloud-based solution, built on the powerful Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.

As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will...

work in the Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) department and be the liaison between the Azure Engineering team and the delivery organization to design, develop and document the reference architectures for UMAX workloads in Azure.

Using the Dynamics platform and cloud native resources and services, you will create the architecture and present it to our stakeholders & customers. You will develop a solid understanding of our organization’s strategy, application landscape, architectural patterns, and the Azure and Dynamics platforms. This knowledge will enable you to create clear reference architectures and guidelines that can be consistently applied across our customer solutions. You will stay up to date with the evolution of the Azure services and the innovations of the Itineris R&D teams.

What you will work on

  • Design and document Azure solutions aligned with UMAX architecture and business requirements.
  • Support engineering and deployment teams to ensure solutions are built and delivered as intended.
  • Collaborate across business units (and with customers when needed) to present architecture clearly and translate complex concepts into business‑aligned decisions.
  • Contribute to business development and technical pre‑sales activities.
  • Share knowledge effectively across teams.
  • Stay current with Azure platform advancements and UMAX product innovations.
  • Participate actively in the (Azure) Technical Solution Architect community within Itineris.

What you bring

Experience & Background• Min. 3 years’ experience as a technical solution architect, with a solid technical background in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including (but not limited to):• Networking & security - VNETs, firewalls, Application Gateways, API Management

  • Data services - Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, NoSQL data stores
  • Compute & integration – Virtual Machines, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Container Apps
  • Governance & operations - Azure Policy, monitoring, alerting
  • Implementation experience with Zero Trust principles, Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and/or the Power Platform (nice to have).

Certifications (or willingness to obtain)

  • AZ‑305 - Azure Solutions Architect Expert (required)
  • AZ‑400 - DevOps Engineer Expert
  • AZ‑500 - Azure Security Engineer Associate
