The Azure Fiber team in Romsey is seeking dynamic candidates with energy and a passion for innovation to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer with a proven background in Facilities Support, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our existing fiber fabrication factory runs with minimal disruption and world class quality and reliability. As a senior member of our Facilities team, you will be deeply involved in selecting, installing and commissioning new HVAC/Electrical/Site Services installations. You will also be involved in supporting the project team in the design and build of new fabrication facilities to meet future customer demand and company ambition. The role will be a combination of project leadership and hands-on work and will vary day to day as specifics dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the specialised plant and equipment used to enable our manufacturing processes runs without interruption.
  • Organising and delivering routine planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning support, performance audits, fine tuning and general management of all existing and new site supporting plant infrastructure, manufacturing process equipment, tooling and building safety systems in ISO grade cleanroom environments.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of Building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Building Management Services (BMS), electrical (single and 3 phase), process gas supplies, compressed air and chillers/ process cooling water systems
  • Technical input into projects and leading or supporting the Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
  • Management of contractors, and ownership of permit to work and Risk Assessment/Method Statement systems for the site.
  • Ownership and resolution of long-term technical issues and facilities reliability improvements
  • Leadership, mentoring and development of junior Facilities team members

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • You must be legally authorised to work in the UK to be eligible for this role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field• OR equivalent experience within a Facilities Engineering Discipline
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND equivalent experience in a Facilities Engineering role

Hardware Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 44,200.00 - £ 75,700.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
