Due to continued growth in Electrical Distribution, Industrial Automation, and Energy Automation Services, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead multi medium-scale projects including MV/LV retrofits, automation system upgrades, digital transformation initiatives, power management systems, and critical maintenance jobs. The role requires full ownership of assigned projects from customer handover to invoicing and payment collection, with a clear focus on margin protection, digital execution, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This position supports Schneider Electric's digital transformation strategy by utilizing tools such as mySchneider, Salesforce, EcoStruxure platforms, and digital service offerings to streamline sales-to-execution transitions, contract creation, project governance, and performance tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

With increased demand across our services portfolio, particularly in retrofit, lifecycle extension, industrial automation modernization, energy management, and digitized operations solutions, dedicated project leadership is critical to ensuring safe and successful delivery, strong financial performance, customer satisfaction, and recurring business from long-term service relationships. The role also supports the expansion of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure-enabled services and automation solutions across utilities, infrastructure, industry, oil & gas, water, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Governance

  • Lead the full lifecycle execution of electrical, industrial automation, and energy management projects, including scope validation, engineering coordination, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Manage projects involving MV/LV equipment, protection and control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, Energy Management Systems, Power Monitoring Systems , and digitalization solutions.
  • Use digital platforms for project creation, documentation, contract validation, milestone tracking, and invoicing (e.g., mySchneider, Salesforce, ERP).
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings with internal and external stakeholders, aligning on scope, risks, resource requirements, execution methodology, and delivery plans.
  • Ensure successful project execution in accordance with Schneider Electric project management methodologies, quality standards, and governance requirements.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Track and manage project financial performance including budget, revenue forecasts, costs, cash flow, and gross margin.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and proactive cash collection using digitally structured contracts and automated billing processes.
  • Prepare and present project financial reviews, margin evolution, and forecast updates during management review meetings.
  • Manage project variations, change orders, claims, and customer contractual obligations to protect profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, lifecycle support agreements, and modernization projects.

Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate with Field Services, Engineering, Automation Specialists, Cybersecurity teams, and Supply Chain functions to ensure material readiness and execution sequencing.
  • Plan manpower, engineering resources, commissioning teams, software specialists, and field service representatives while ensuring alignment with HSE and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams covering electrical, instrumentation, control systems, software, networking, and digital solutions.
  • Ensure internal orders, subcontracts, logistics activities, and service delivery plans align with contractual commitments.

Industrial Automation & System Integration

  • Manage delivery of industrial automation solutions including PLC, SCADA, HMI, Power Management, and EcoStruxure-based architectures.
  • Coordinate engineering activities related to control system design, software development, configuration management, testing, and validation.
  • Review automation architectures, control philosophies, functional specifications, and integration requirements.
  • Ensure successful integration between electrical systems, automation platforms, instrumentation, industrial communication networks, and enterprise software systems.
  • Support deployment of digital transformation solutions including remote monitoring, asset performance management, predictive maintenance, and operational analytics.
  • Coordinate site teams during commissioning of protection systems, power monitoring systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, drives, intelligent electronic devices, and related automation equipment
  • Ensure operational readiness through proper documentation, operator training, customer acceptance, and system handover.

Risk, HSE, Quality & Cybersecurity

  • Develop and manage project-specific HSE plans, including risk assessments, permit requirements, training, and safe execution procedures.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation actions to avoid schedule, technical, operational, or financial impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric quality processes, customer requirements, and local regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity requirements for automation and connected systems, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Manage technical, commercial, and operational risk throughout the project lifecycle.

Customer Engagement & Feedback

  • Act as the primary customer interface throughout project execution.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project progress, milestones, risks, opportunities, and required decisions.
  • Build strong long-term customer relationships that support recurring service and modernization opportunities.
  • Capture and record customer feedback through satisfaction surveys and project close-out reviews

Close-out & Continuous Improvement

  • Organize and lead end-of-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify improvement actions.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, delivery process enhancements, and best practice development across the Services organization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, digital workflows, automation delivery, and customer experience.

Required Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of project management experience delivering electrical, industrial automation, energy management, power management, SCADA, PLC, DCS, digitalization, or retrofit projects, preferably within utilities, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, water, oil & gas, energy, or critical facilities sectors.
  • Certification: PMP® (mandatory); Schneider Electric PM Certification or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.

Technical & Business Skills

  • Fair knowledge of MV/LV equipment, retrofit practices, protection schemes, lifecycle services, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial automation architectures including PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Power Management Systems.
  • Experience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions and digital service platforms.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric product families including Masterpact, Easypact, Sepam, VAMP, PowerLogic, and automation-related solutions.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, IEC 61850, OPC UA, and related networking technologies.
  • Understanding of operational technology environments and industrial cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience using Salesforce, mySchneider, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and digital project execution tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret contractual clauses, payment terms, risks, and margin impacts.
  • Experience managing customer change requests, contractual negotiations, and project variations.

  • Willingness to travel across the Gulf region for site visits, commissioning activities, and customer engagements.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas, Water, Utilities, Infrastructure, Data Center, and Industrial sector standards is an advantage.
