Senior UX Researcher – B2B Product Design

Diversified Services Network, Inc. (DSN) is seeking a full-time Senior UX Researcher – B2B Product Design to join our team in Chicago, IL. Position Overview

The Senior UX Researcher will apply expertise in human-computer interaction and user research best practices to guide the concept, prototyping, testing, and documentation of a B2B product's user interface. Working alongside designers, engineers, strategists, and leadership, this person will ground the product experience in a deep understanding of user needs and communicate the vision and path forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify where research and testing will add the most value, and prioritize the research backlog based on the product roadmap
  • Plan and facilitate user research to clarify user, customer, and business needs, and translate those needs into concepts for compelling interactions
  • Translate research and test findings into actionable, prioritized recommendations for UI designs
  • Define prototype requirements with the design team to test and iterate on concepts
  • Integrate user research into product designs and broader design practices
  • Create shareable UX artifacts such as journey maps, storyboards, user flows, and research reports
  • Document key goals, themes, elements, and behaviors for implementation and handoff to downstream UI teams
  • Document the overall UX strategy – including UI, physical attributes, and guiding principles – to be leveraged across all downstream partners
  • Collaborate regularly with designers and product owners; strong stakeholder management is essential

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of UX research experience, preferably within a corporate or B2B environment
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related UX field; an additional 2–3 years of experience may substitute for a degree
  • Empathy: proven methods for capturing, organizing, and synthesizing both stakeholder and user sentiment, and applying those insights while listening with an openness to learn
  • Adaptive thinking: ability to pivot quickly as requirements and product understanding evolve, view challenges as learning opportunities, and stay open to others' input while confidently making independent decisions
  • Thorough understanding of UI best practices, UI design, and essential graphic design theory
  • Proficiency with UI layout, spec, and prototyping tools
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines, producing results both independently and collaboratively
  • Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional data storytelling capability
  • Portfolio demonstrating research expertise and the ability to articulate your process
  • Project management experience is preferred but not required
