QA Tester

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Web Quality Assurance (QA) Tester responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, performance, security, and usability of websites and web applications. The role involves analyzing requirements, developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in QA processes, analyze project requirements, and develop, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists.
• Conduct thorough functional and non-functional testing of websites and web applications, including usability, performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Identify, document, track, and report bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues, collaborating with developers and project managers to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform regression testing to verify that updates and enhancements do not introduce new defects.
• Verify responsive design and mobile compatibility across various devices, browsers, and screen sizes.
• Test third-party integrations, including CRM systems, e-commerce platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics solutions.
• Ensure compliance with SEO best practices, web accessibility standards (WCAG), and applicable security requirements.
• Monitor website speed and performance, identify potential issues, and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Write, review, and update QA documentation and procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency and issue resolution.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve website quality, functionality, and overall user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in web quality assurance testing, particularly with platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and web applications.
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools, such as Selenium, BrowserStack, Lighthouse, and GTmetrix.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, particularly their impact on website functionality.
• Experience in cross-browser compatibility and responsive design testing.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, WCAG accessibility standards, and web application security principles.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Ability to perform API testing using tools such as Postman and RESTful API testing techniques is an advantage.
• Good-to-Have Skills• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test script development.
• Knowledge of API testing and third-party integration testing.
• Familiarity with website performance optimization and security vulnerability testing.
• Experience testing e-commerce websites and content management systems (CMS)
