PM Data Analyst

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

Join a critical platform-level role that helps shape strategic decision-making across Lonza's Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) and mRNA operations. This position combines financial analytics, KPI reporting, governance, and process improvement to ensure leaders have the accurate insights needed to drive business performance and operational excellence.

What you will do:

  • Deliver platform-level financial analyses and reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across revenue outlooks, revenue recognition, WBS structures, work-in-progress (WIP), and deferred balances.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present KPI reporting for site and platform reviews to support performance management and informed decision-making.
  • Support target-setting and Business Review (BSR) processes through robust data analysis, scenario modelling, and clear communication of risks, assumptions, and opportunities.
  • Maintain aligned views of risks and opportunities across CGT and mRNA sites, ensuring clear linkage to financial performance and business impact.
  • Improve scope governance by supporting reporting, data quality, and continuous enhancement of tools, trackers, and processes used to manage scope changes.
  • Design and implement automation solutions, dashboards, and analytical tools that increase reporting efficiency, strengthen data integrity, and improve business insights.
  • Partner closely with Program Management, Finance, Commercial Development, Proposals, and Operations teams to drive consistent data governance and platform-wide standardization.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in financial analytics, program management analytics, portfolio management, project controlling, or a related analytical function.
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, KPI analysis, business performance management, and data-driven decision support.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI development skills, with the ability to create impactful dashboards and visualizations.
  • Experience using automation tools and process improvement techniques to streamline reporting and enhance data quality.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed, and highly regulated environments, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experience within Life Sciences, Biopharma, Manufacturing, or Capital Project environments is preferred.
