Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite

As a Senior Project Manager (m/f/d), you'll lead complex, cross-functional product development projects in an international environment and help bring innovative medical technologies from concept to market, contributing to better outcomes for surgeons and patients worldwide.

What you will do:

  • Lead complex, international product development projects from initiation through successful market launch, managing scope, timelines, resources, budget and deliverables.
  • Establish clear project plans, governance and reporting, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making across the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project performance across time, cost, quality, scope and regulatory requirements, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies and changes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams without direct line responsibility, creating alignment, accountability and clear priorities across technical and functional workstreams.
  • Coordinate interfaces across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Operations and other functions, including software, hardware and systems-related activities.
  • Communicate project status, risks, opportunities and key decisions to stakeholders and senior management, driving timely escalation and resolution.

 

What you need:

Required

  • Degree in Engineering, Medical Technology, Computer Science, Natural Sciences or a comparable field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in project management, ideally leading complex product development projects in an international environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in a matrix organization without direct line responsibility.
  • Strong communication, organization, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills.

 

Preferred

  • Experience or exposure to product development, preferably in medical devices or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of traditional and agile project management methodologies, project governance and management reporting.
  • Familiarity with software, hardware, systems engineering, quality or regulatory processes.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or equivalent.

Germany Pay Ranges:

  • Freiburg 39Std: €5.917 - €9.895 EUR Monthly
