Full description

Digital transformation in healthcare only works when projects actually get delivered. As IT Project Manager, you own digital projects from the first idea to successful adoption by users — on time, in scope and with real impact on how care is delivered.

You report directly to the CIO Switzerland and work hands-on with clinical teams, IT specialists, commercial stakeholders and external partners across an international organisation. If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity and seeing your projects make a tangible difference for patients, this role is for you.

What you will do

Deliver projects end to end You lead IT projects through their full lifecycle: defining scope, objectives and timelines, managing plans, milestones and budgets, and coordinating implementation, testing, go-live and user adoption. You are accountable for quality and outcomes.

Align people around a common goal You bring clinical, technical and commercial stakeholders to the table, facilitate decisions, keep everyone aligned and communicating, and steer external vendors and delivery partners.

Keep risks under control You monitor risks, issues and dependencies, escalate critical topics early with concrete mitigation proposals, and make sure your projects meet governance, security and quality requirements.

Drive transformation You lead change, digital and AI initiatives, drive the integration of newly acquired organisations, and actively look for opportunities to improve patient outcomes through technology.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems or a related field
  • Proven experience managing IT projects in complex, international environments
  • Strong technical foundation: infrastructure, applications, digital solutions
  • Excellent planning, coordination and execution skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • The capacity to juggle competing priorities while keeping deadlines
  • Risk awareness, sound judgement and a solution-oriented mindset
  • A high level of ownership and a "getting things done" attitude
  • Fluency in English plus German or French

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with external vendors and service providers
  • Knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system
  • A project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)

Benefits

  • High visibility: you report directly to the CIO Switzerland
  • Real impact: your projects directly improve how patients are cared for
  • A varied portfolio: from infrastructure and applications to digital and AI initiatives
  • Flexibility: base in Fribourg or Zurich, with partial remote work
  • An international, growing healthcare organisation in full transformation
