Position Summary

Sage Fence is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support civil construction and fencing projects in the Cleveland/Akron area. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, the ability to review plans and specifications, and the communication skills necessary to coordinate with owners, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope documents to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare, price, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, additional work requests, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate project billing, including progress billing, backup documentation, and related owner or contractor requirements.
  • Work closely with field leadership, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams to maintain schedules, budgets, and project expectations.
  • Identify potential scope gaps, contract risks, schedule impacts, and cost concerns and communicate them proactively.
  • Support procurement, material tracking, project coordination, and job cost review as needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, fencing, or a closely related construction field.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
  • Experience reviewing contracts and understanding project scope, terms, requirements, and potential risk items.
  • Familiarity with project billing, pricing change orders and additional work, RFIs, submittals, closeout documentation, and construction project administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and project deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $105,000 to $115,000, based on experience and qualifications
