Full description

For KWS Scandinavia A/S we are looking for a full-time permanent Product Manager (m/f/d) in Southern Sweden who is responsible for the technical product management of the KWS cross-crop portfolio in the Nordic markets (Sweden, Finland & Norway). The portfolio consists of Sugarbeet, Corn, Oilseed Rape, Hybrid Rye and non-hybrid cereals. This role focuses on variety testing, portfolio development, trial coordination and registrations, ensuring strong alignment with breeding, Agroservice, and International Product Management teams, including Crop Leads. Together with Sales, the role provides technical support to further develop our portfolio in the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the cross-crop portfolio through variety testing, evaluation and lifecycle monitoring
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor field trials, strip tests and technical evaluations in collaboration with breeders and international product teams
  • Support variety registration and maintain accurate product documentation
  • Analyze trial results and provide technical recommendations for portfolio positioning
  • Ensure strong exchange with breeding teams to align market needs with pipeline development
  • Provide advice and develop local concepts on stewardship management for crucial traits in Sugarbeet such as CONVISO® SMART, CR+, and others
  • Contribute to cross-crop technical activities
  • Support internal stakeholders with technical product knowledge and agronomic insights
  • Align and coordinate with local team to secure efficient support, alignment and support business activities
  • Provide tools, services and content, targeted to group of growers
  • Internal team development: Regular training team members on product benefits, competitive environment, and technical details
  • Attending on-farm meetings as a technical expert
  • Regional adaptation: Making recommendations on which varieties are best suited to a specific region, soil type or crop rotation
  • Content creation: Preparation of information materials, catalogs and articles, participation in field days and exhibitions
  • Monitoring all varieties, trials, performance, and results in the market
  • Demand forecasting: Collaborating with supply chain and sales to plan the required seed quantities for the season

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Agronomic education: university education in the field of agronomy or agricultural sciences or related fields
  • Field trials: Experience in organizing or evaluating varietal comparative trials and interpreting data, technical product management
  • Knowledge of farming / crop production, experience with Sugarbeet crop is a strong advantage
  • Cultivation technologies: good knowledge of plant protection, fertilization principles and modern farming technologies
  • Experience working with breeders or R&D environments is beneficial
  • Ability to explain complex agronomic processes in a simple way
  • Mobility: Driver's license and readiness for frequent travel to regions and test fields
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken), Finnish or Norwegian is an advantage
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to analyse market trends, forecast demand, and draw data-driven conclusions when forming an assortment
