Job Overview

The Product Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and bringing innovative products to market. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and market understanding. The Product Manager will work closely with various departments across Hubbell, conduct market research, identify consumer needs, and guide product development from ideation to launch.

A Day In The Life

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities
  • Generating innovative ideas for new products or enhancements based on market insights and consumer demands
  • Managing the product development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and final product release
  • Working closely with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into tangible product features
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks or obstacles throughout the product development process
  • Conducting product testing, collecting feedback, and iterating on product designs for improvements
  • Preparing regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the plan
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, presenting product plans, progress updates, and strategies
  • Ensuring products comply with industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements throughout the development process
  • Identifying opportunities for product optimization, enhancements, or new iterations based on customer feedback and market changes.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 6-9 years of experience in product development, new product introduction, or a related field (required)
  • Ability to translate market insights onto actionable product development plans (required)
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of product development
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and find innovative solutions during the development process
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements related to product development and safety
