We are on the hunt for a motivated and talented DevOps Engineering Student in our Digital engineering department at our Montreal office. This is a 4-month internship starting in January 2027.

Overall, the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

The successful candidate will provide support to scrum-teams for the automation of development of embedded system such as satellite payloads and other spacecraft.

As our DevOps Engineering Student, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Support continuous improvement of our delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
  • Design, document, and build systems to automate development activities
  • Troubleshooting of infrastructure-related issues
  • Perform system administration tasks, such as configuration management, creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and supporting tools
  • Manage the engineering tools and 3rd party IP (procurement, licensing, installation, upgrade, maintenance renewal, computing capacity planning, …) for PCB design, FPGA, software, RF and Systems

Experience and skills required:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, computer) or computer science with three (3) years completed.

  • Experience with version control software (GIT, SVN, …)
  • Some knowledge of automation software like Jenkins
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash
  • Some programming experience
  • Experience with installing and configuring new software under windows & Linux
  • System administration
  • Bilingual French and English (Contact with customers outside Québec).

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with SQL Databases
  • Some experience in Web development to provide development teams with GUI tools
  • Knowledge to build and deploy Virtual Machines (VMware, VSphere, VirtualBox)
