About HRS
HRS is a global technology company revolutionizing the way enterprises manage lodging, meetings, and workforce travel through AI-driven, data-centric solutions. With over 50 years of innovation, HRS delivers value through its Lodging-as-a-Service (LaaS), Meeting-as-a-Service (MaaS), and Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) offerings, serving Fortune 500 enterprises, leading hotel chains, and mid-sized companies worldwide. By integrating cutting-edge technology across our Copilot and Connect platforms, HRS enables unmatched efficiencies and strategic outcomes for clients globally.
About the team
The Connect Search & Book domain powers HRS hotel content and services for corporate customers worldwide. Within it, the Pay & Checkout team owns the final and most decisive step of the booking journey, turning a selected offer into a completed, trusted transaction. The team's mission is to deliver a seamless, error free checkout experience with flexible payment options, for both BTC (individual business traveler) and Enterprise customers.
Checkout is one of the most measurable, revenue critical areas in Connect. Every point of friction, technical error, or payment limitation directly affects completed bookings, customer trust, and exposure to payment risk. Vietnam is HRS's largest and most strategic engineering hub for Connect, and the Pay & Checkout team is based here as part of a live, actively used product area with an established KPI framework and ongoing commercial expectations.
About the role
We are seeking a (Senior) Product Manager to take ownership of Pay & Checkout within HRS Connect Search & Book. You will report to the VP Product and be the accountable PM for this product area, owning the roadmap, driving continuous discovery, and working as a genuine peer within a cross functional Product Trio.
This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for a PM who combines funnel discipline with payment domain judgment, and who is energized by owning a product customers rarely think about when it works, but notice immediately when it does not.
What you’ll own
As (Senior) Product Manager for Connect Pay & Checkout, you will:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for the checkout and payment experience across BTC and Enterprise customer segments
- Work in a Product Trio model with shared accountability for discovery, delivery, and business outcomes
- Apply Working Backwards thinking in every initiative: start from the desired customer and business outcome, define the right problem precisely, and validate assumptions before committing to solutions
- Drive continuous discovery into checkout friction, payment method adoption, and booking reliability issues, translating findings into a prioritized, evidence based roadmap
- Own and evolve the team's KPI framework, covering checkout conversion, checkout drop off, booking reliability, customer trust in the booking experience, payment friction at the hotel level, adoption of flexible payment options, and fraud and payment risk exposure
- Make responsible trade off decisions between conversion growth and payment risk, ensuring commercial upside is never pursued at the expense of fraud exposure or compliance
- Be a credible product peer to engineering and design, engaging on payment architecture, reliability trade offs, and end to end checkout experience design
- Use AI tools as the default across your PM workflow: discovery synthesis, PRD drafting, competitive analysis, stakeholder communication, and roadmap prioritization
- Translate checkout and payment outcomes into a clear business narrative for VP Product, commercial stakeholders, and enterprise clients
What we’re looking for
Product Experience
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in payments, checkout, fintech, e-commerce, or B2B SaaS products
- Demonstrated experience owning a checkout, payments, or transactional funnel product, comfortable defining success through conversion, reliability, and risk metrics
- Strong command of modern PM craft: outcome ownership, Working Backwards methodology, and continuous discovery, not a feature factory mindset
- Metric driven approach: able to define, track, and act on funnel and payment KPIs
- Experience managing a roadmap that balances conversion growth, reliability improvement, and risk mitigation
Payments and Domain Fluency
- Practical understanding of payment methods, payment reliability, and checkout UX across web or app
- Experience or strong working knowledge of fraud and payment risk management, comfortable partnering with finance, legal, and risk teams without needing to be a compliance expert
- Experience designing for more than one customer segment with different payment needs is a strong plus, for example individual, card based checkout versus centralized or policy driven payment handling for corporate accounts
Technical Fluency
- Comfortable engaging with engineers on payment infrastructure and reliability trade offs, without needing to be an engineer
- Able to ask the right questions, challenge decisions from a customer and business outcome perspective, and understand the risk implications of technical roadmap decisions
- Experience working on products built on payment infrastructure, transaction processing, or equivalent high throughput backend systems is a strong plus
AI Fluency
- Active, demonstrated use of AI tools in your own PM workflow, with concrete examples of quality and productivity improvement
- Practical understanding of where AI can improve payment and checkout products, and the ability to frame AI opportunities as product bets with measurable outcomes
- Awareness of the limits and risks of AI in transaction critical systems, responsible judgment on feasibility, quality control, and reliability trade offs
Domain and Communication
- Experience building B2B or enterprise products with enterprise constraints: data privacy, compliance, security, procurement cycles
- Excellent written and verbal English, able to engage credibly with engineering, commercial stakeholders, and senior leadership
- Experience in distributed, cross functional teams
- Corporate travel or booking platform experience is a plus, not a requirement
Perspective on growth
Access to a global network of a globally united and mutually responsible "Tribe of Intrapreneurs" passionately dedicated to renewing the travel industry and reinventing the ways businesses stay, work, and pay. Our entrepreneurial driven environment of full ownership and execution focus offers you the playground to contribute to a greater mission, while growing personally and professionally throughout this unique journey. You will continuously learn from a radical culture of retrospectives and continuous improvement, and actively contribute to making business life better, smarter, and more sustainable.
