Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for onboarding customers onto Bottomline’s cloud solutions, ensuring delivery is completed effectively and within customer timescales. The role acts as the primary point of contact for enterprise-level customers, applying best practice project planning and management techniques. It requires high-quality delivery aligned to service standards, with responsibility for project time, cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead successful delivery of customer projects, ensuring agreed objectives, timelines, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation and handover.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and internal teams, acting as the primary delivery contact.
  • Provide project leadership, governance and oversight, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies and change.
  • Ensure effective planning, reporting and communication to provide clear visibility of progress, status and outcomes.
  • Drive customer success by understanding business requirements and aligning solutions to customer needs.
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, budget control and revenue opportunities.
  • Support business growth through collaboration with sales and pre-sales, providing delivery expertise and guidance.
  • Promote project management best practice, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organisation.
  • Maintain strong understanding of company solutions, services and industry trends to deliver customer value.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Project Management or consultancy role.
  • Recognised Project Management certification, or equivalent qualification, with practical knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in Payments, Cash Management or FinTech software environments.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payments and Treasury Management processes is desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value projects and stakeholders through to conclusion.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organisational skills.
  • Responsible, energetic and positive attitude.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Calm under pressure, able to motivate others, with good commercial awareness.
