DevOps Engineer - Autonomous Workspace Platform

Company Description

As a DevOps Engineer for Check Point’s Autonomous Workspace Platform, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure behind a new AI-driven security platform.

You will be responsible for managing cloud environments that support Check Point’s XDR products and the Autonomous Workspace Platform. You will take part in designing and implementing cloud architecture, optimizing infrastructure, improving reliability and observability, and ensuring security and cost efficiency.

This is a hands-on role for an independent engineer who can take ownership of tasks end to end — from analyzing a challenge and suggesting a solution, through design, implementation, and production rollout.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across R&D and the broader company, including Security and Product teams, to automate processes, streamline operations, improve developer experience, and drive meaningful improvements in our cloud strategy.

Job Description

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Play an important role in shaping our AWS-first cloud architecture, with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, innovation, and long-term success.
• Production Reliability: Tackle large-scale production issues and proactively improve the reliability, efficiency, availability, and observability of our cloud services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across R&D, Security, Product, and other groups to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices.
• Automation & Developer Experience: Automate and streamline operations and development processes, reduce manual intervention, and improve the developer experience.
• Security & Cost Optimization: Help ensure that our infrastructure is secure, efficient, aligned with organizational standards, and cost-effective.
• Cloud Operations Excellence: Drive improvements in deployment practices, monitoring, infrastructure management, and operational maturity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant DevOps experience in large-scale production environments.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, especially Grafana.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD methodologies and tools.
• Proven experience working with Kubernetes or managed container services, such as EKS, AKS, or ECS, in production environments.
• DevOps security mindset, including understanding of secure development lifecycles, cloud security, and infrastructure security.
• Strong ability to independently analyze problems, suggest practical solutions, and drive implementation end to end.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both AWS and Azure.
• Experience with managed data services such as MongoDB Atlas, Azure Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, Amazon RDS, or Amazon Aurora.
• Experience with PostgreSQL management, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Python scripting or development experience.
