The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Science Team at TheGuarantors. This is a highly cross-functional role designed for someone who enjoys turning data into clear, actionable answers for the business. You will dig deep into data to uncover insights, build analytical and reporting frameworks, and run ad-hoc analyses to answer emerging business questions. You’ll work closely with teams across Data, Risk, Operations, and GTM, translating data into insights that inform strategic decisions across the company.

Location This is hybrid role based in NYC (3 days/week onsite).

What you’ll do:

  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear, structured analyses
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Run ad-hoc analyses and experiments to evaluate hypotheses to address emerging business challenges and opportunities
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against Snowflake, and use Python/dbt to clean, transform, and model data for analysis
  • Partner with Data Scientists to analyze and monitor existing models and conduct deeper analyses in response to business questions
  • Support recurring model monitoring and established Data Science processes developed by senior team members, including investigating trends, anomalies, and changes in model outcomes.
  • Communicate findings clearly through data storytelling, visualizations, and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Synthesize analyses into clear reports and presentations for cross-functional and strategic discussions

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or related quantitative role
  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative role
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, with a foundational understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the intellectual curiosity to explore data and investigate open-ended questions
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $120,000 - $140,000 annually.

Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location and current market data and may vary from the range above.
