About the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Staff Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve Eightfold’s cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platform at scale.

This role is focused on architecture, complex technical problems, production reliability, and hands-on engineering. You’ll drive critical infrastructure initiatives end-to-end and influence technical direction across engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and build scalable, secure, and highly reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Own and scale Kubernetes clusters in production, including upgrades, troubleshooting, capacity, and reliability.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm.
• Build automation and internal tooling using Python, Bash, and/or Go.
• Lead complex infrastructure and reliability initiatives from design to production.
• Troubleshoot challenging distributed systems, networking, and production issues.
• Drive observability, incident response, performance, and cost optimization.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to shape platform architecture and engineering standards.

Must-Have

• 8+ years in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes + AWS experience.
• Strong Linux, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform/CloudFormation/Helm.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Proven experience owning large-scale production infrastructure and complex technical initiatives.
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

Good to Have

• Azure/OCI experience.
• Go programming.
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD/Flux.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-region infrastructure.
