Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager for a commercial construction opportunity in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

The Mechanical Project Manager directs the delivery of mechanical and HVAC/R sheet metal operations for commercial construction projects, including air distribution, ductwork, equipment setup, project scheduling, procurement, field coordination, subcontractor management, and financial oversight.

COMPENSATION

  • $100,000-$130,000 annual salary

PROJECT & SCHEDULE COORDINATION

  • Establish and maintain project schedules.
  • Coordinate project activities with pre-construction, safety, estimating, BIM/fabrication, and other internal teams.
  • Monitor project milestones and field progress.
  • Develop schedule recovery plans when needed.

SUBMITTALS & PROCUREMENT

  • Review technical equipment submittals.
  • Coordinate procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and vendor packages.
  • Support timely delivery of required project materials and equipment.

FIELD & SUBCONTRACTOR OVERSIGHT

  • Coordinate commercial HVAC/R and sheet metal project operations.
  • Issue and manage trade subcontracts.
  • Monitor daily field progress and project execution.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to maintain project milestones and schedules.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Manage project budgets.
  • Maintain revenue forecasts.
  • Manage schedules of values.
  • Oversee project change orders and related financial documentation.

QUALITY & SAFETY

  • Implement project safety plans.
  • Review drawings for design conflicts and coordination concerns.
  • Support quality execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project issues and develop appropriate corrective or schedule-recovery plans.

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R project management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience REQUIRED
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems REQUIRED
  • Experience coordinating mechanical, HVAC/R, sheet metal, ductwork, and related commercial construction activities REQUIRED
  • Experience managing project schedules, field progress, and subcontractor coordination REQUIRED
  • Experience with project budgets, forecasting, schedules of values, and change orders REQUIRED
  • Ability to review technical equipment submittals and construction drawings REQUIRED
  • Proficiency with applicable construction technology, including Procore and BIM-related workflows REQUIRED
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills REQUIRED

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Commercial HVAC/R sheet metal project experience
  • Experience coordinating pre-construction, estimating, safety, and BIM/fabrication teams
