Lean & Industrial Engineering Manager – Pendergrass

Position Summary

The Lean & Industrial Engineering Manager will lead the development and execution of Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering strategies for the Pendergrass facility. This leader will drive productivity, labor efficiency, capacity optimization, material flow, and operational excellence while building a culture of continuous improvement that supports plant growth and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Lean & Industrial Engineering function and develop team capabilities.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize productivity, labor utilization, capacity, manufacturing flow, and factory layout.
  • Establish labor standards, staffing models, capacity plans, and performance metrics.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, and structured problem-solving efforts.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve operational performance and deliver measurable business results.
  • Build a culture of accountability, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Experience leading Lean, productivity, or Industrial Engineering initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, work measurement, capacity planning, line balancing, and process optimization.
  • Experience identifying and implementing operational improvements using data and analysis.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Manufacturing, Lean, or Industrial Engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience managing Lean, Industrial Engineering, or Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Experience supporting a greenfield facility, major expansion, or production launch.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience implementing Lean operating systems and advanced manufacturing improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, MES, manufacturing analytics, and material flow optimization.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
