Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Project Manager 2 - Construction for an onsite opportunity in Houston, Texas. This mid-senior level position is a key member of a Design and Construction management team responsible for capital construction projects and oversight throughout the design, construction and implementation phases.

The position requires significant construction and project management experience, including new construction, renovations and MEP infrastructure, along with facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services experience and demonstrated management experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Project Manager 2 - Construction leads and coordinates construction projects that may include new facilities, additions, expansions, extensions, renovations and alterations. This position works collaboratively with project teams, construction sites, contractors, vendors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

COMPENSATION

  • $101,000-$140,000

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Develop Project Schedules And Execute Assigned Projects According To Plan
  • Evaluate Contractual Scope Of Work
  • Evaluate Impact Of Client-Issued Bulletins, Field Directives And Scheduling Changes
  • Lead And Coordinate Construction Projects Throughout Design, Construction And Implementation
  • Monitor Project Progress, Issues And Financial Status
  • Communicate Project Status To Management
  • Attend And Lead Job Progress Meetings

CONSTRUCTION & CAPITAL PROJECTS

  • Support New Facility Construction
  • Support Additions, Expansions And Extensions Of Existing Facilities
  • Manage Renovations And Facility Alterations
  • Support New Construction And MEP Infrastructure Projects
  • Coordinate Project Teams, Construction Personnel, Contractors And Vendors
  • Ensure Materials And Equipment Resources Are Delivered On Time
  • Develop Project Budgets, Schedules And Timetables
  • Assign Project Responsibilities Based On Contractor And Vendor Skill Sets

COSTS, PROPOSALS & CHANGE ORDERS

  • Pursue Additional Work Through Change Orders
  • Perform Associated Cost Estimates
  • Prepare Proposals
  • Negotiate Final Settlement Price And Customer Acceptance
  • Monitor And Communicate Project Financial Status

CONTRACTOR & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Develop And Maintain Long-Term Relationships With Consultants
  • Work With Prime Contractors And Subcontractors
  • Lead Project Responsibilities For Team Members Throughout Project Duration
  • Coordinate Construction Personnel And Project Resources
  • Collaborate With Capital Project Teams And Stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management Or Related Field REQUIRED
  • 5 Years Of Construction / Project Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Experience With New Construction, Renovations And MEP Infrastructure REQUIRED
  • 3 Years Of Experience In Facilities Maintenance, Plant Operations Or Engineering Services REQUIRED
  • 5 Years Of Management Experience REQUIRED
  • Strong Computer Capabilities In MS Office Including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio And Basic Windows Environment REQUIRED
  • OSHA 30 OR Ability To Obtain Certification Within 120 Days Of Hire REQUIRED
  • Ability To Embrace Ambiguity And Work Effectively In Environments With Undefined Processes REQUIRED
