apeirum is recruiting on behalf of maxon for a Network Engineer in Barcelona. This is a permanent position employed directly by maxon; apeirum runs the selection process.

As Network Engineer you will run and improve maxon's Aruba network: Wi-Fi, LAN and ClearPass. You'll join a small ICT security team and work closely with the security and firewall colleagues. Hybrid in Barcelona (3 days office, 2 remote), with occasional travel to Switzerland (5–10%).
Tasks
- Configure and maintain the latest Aruba Wi-Fi environment through Aruba Central.
- Configure and maintain Aruba ClearPass (NAC, authentication, access policies).
- Run the Wi-Fi and LAN lifecycle project, including rollout of new access points and switches.
- Monitor and meet ISO 27001 requirements across LAN/WLAN.
- Give the security team network insights and support incident analysis.
- Work with the firewall team and external suppliers.
- Run the Wi-Fi service to company SLAs and bring in current security features.
Requirements
Must have:
- Hands-on experience with Aruba Central.
- Deploying and managing Wi-Fi 7 access points.
- Aruba ClearPass administration.
- Managing Aruba AOS-CX switches.
- HPE Aruba Networking certification (ACSP / ACX).
- Clear communication with IT and business colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, especially where security is involved.
- Experience working in a small team together with external suppliers.
- Degree in network engineering or related + 2–3 years' experience.
- Good English.
- Based in Barcelona.
Nice to have:
- Firewall management experience.
- German.
