We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist with strong expertise in automotive in-vehicle cybersecurity to join the Electrical Architecture and Cybersecurity team in Gothenburg.

The role focuses on ensuring that in-vehicle systems comply with relevant cybersecurity requirements, processes, standards, and regulations throughout the complete vehicle development lifecycle.

You will work closely with engineering teams, software teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across the automotive organization, contributing to cybersecurity activities from Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) through security concept development, requirements, implementation support, verification, and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity cases for vehicle development projects.
  • Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for in-vehicle systems and functions.
  • Define and contribute to cybersecurity concepts, requirements, and technical solutions.
  • Participate in vehicle projects and provide cybersecurity recommendations throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Review cybersecurity concepts, architectures, requirements, and related work products.
  • Conduct design reviews and verification reviews of cybersecurity deliverables.
  • Plan, coordinate, and contribute to cybersecurity testing, verification, and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and joint technical reviews with suppliers.
  • Work closely with software, electrical architecture, system engineering, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Support the implementation of cybersecurity best practices across vehicle systems.
  • Identify cybersecurity risks, technical gaps, and potential roadblocks and drive appropriate actions.
  • Contribute to increasing cybersecurity awareness and knowledge across the organization.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in automotive in-vehicle cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity activities within the automotive product development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA).
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434.
  • Good understanding of UNECE R155 and automotive cybersecurity regulations.
  • Experience with multiple automotive cybersecurity concepts and technologies, such as:
  • Secure In-Vehicle Communication
  • Secure Diagnostics
  • Secure Boot
  • Secure Logging
  • Code Signing
  • Hardware Security Module (HSM)
  • Good understanding of software engineering and software-related cybersecurity aspects.
  • Ability to analyze cybersecurity risks and translate them into practical technical requirements and solutions.
  • Experience working with automotive suppliers and conducting technical/cybersecurity reviews.

Nice to Have

  • Good knowledge of AUTOSAR.
  • Experience with cybersecurity verification and validation methodologies.
  • Experience working across multiple vehicle projects or automotive platforms.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional automotive organizations.
  • Knowledge of additional automotive cybersecurity tools, methodologies, and security architectures.

Education

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.
