Overview and purpose of the role:  

The Developer will be responsible for developing and designing, backend development and ensuring the responsiveness of applications. You should be a team player with a knack for visual design and comfortable agile methodology for development. Have exposure to DevOps and Test Driven Development.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design client-side and server-side architecture 
  • Write effective APIs 
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications 
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency 
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software 
  • Write technical documentation 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Developer or similar role 
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications 
  • Familiarity with common stacks 
  • Extensive Knowledge of Java along with Spring Boot Framework, JPA  
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks. Preferrable VueJs. Angular, React experience will also be considered. 
  • Extensive experience on automated testing using Junit, RestAssured and Cypress 
  • Familiarity with TDD, feature file creation and conversion to test cases  
  • Familiarity with databases (Postgres SQL), web servers and UI/UX design 
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) 
  • Familiarity with Jasper  
  • Experience of working in DevOps and Agile environment. Preferably conversant with Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence  
  • Excellent communication, teamwork skills and attention to detail 
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
