Job Title: Business Analyst – General Insurance (P&C)

Location: Chennai – Tharamani

Work Mode: Work from Office (WFO)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in General Insurance (Property & Casualty). This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate requirement gathering, analysis, and delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
  • Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure correct implementation of requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure business sign-off
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, workflows, and process diagrams
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement discussions
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong domain expertise in General Insurance / Property & Casualty (P&C)
  • Hands-on experience in one or more areas: policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments
  • Proficiency in tools such as MS Visio, Excel, Word, JIRA, and Confluence

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to digital insurance platforms or transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in insurance
  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
