Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is requested, along with substantial Java and Spring Boot experience and expertise in microservices and distributed systems. Candidates should have experience with event-driven architectures, databases, API security, REST API design, and automated testing; AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Linux, and shell scripting are advantageous.

ROLE

  • Act as a technical expert in charge of maintaining and evolving a portion of our internal digital platform
  • Act as seasoned engineer in java software development with ability to understand the technical challenges of related technologies such as infrastructure, pipeline, frontend and subsystem interactions
  • Within backend area of expertise, introduce new innovative technologies and support teams to facilitate the spread of innovation within our solution
  • Contribute to the "bottom-up" technical roadmap construction in coordination with the PO and in line with desired technical evolution within the company
  • Able to coordinate sub team towards mutual delivery goals, split the work, follow-up and provide technical guidance whenever required
  • Capacity to manage sub-contractor, suppliers, facilitate technical collaboration and adoption of the digital platform
  • Apply and promote state-of-the-art testing practices at all levels for continuous integration
  • Apply and promote best practices when it comes to software engineering (testing, documentation, code review etc.)
  • Apply and promote agile methodologies throughout the development process

PROFILE:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • In-depth experience in software engineering with a sound track record in Java and Spring Boot. Experience designing and operating microservices in distributed systems.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, NoSQL and relational databases..
  • Experience with API security (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Solid experience designing and documenting REST APIs.
  • Skilled in automated testing.
  • Any hands-on experience with the following technology stack would be a plus: AWS (ECS/Fargate), Docker, K8s, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Familiar with the Linux environment, including shell scripting and software packaging.
  • Team player in a multi-cultural working environment with ability to work independently.
  • Fluent English
