Employer: AMAZON DATA SERVICES, INC. Offered Position: Network Dev Engineer II Job Location: Seattle, Washington Job Number: AMZ10165500
Position Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity problems, including troubleshooting of network device hardware failures. Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform problems. Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose problems and return devices/configurations to a healthy state. Escalate to external vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) to diagnose problems and facilitate part replacement. Work with ISPs to diagnose problems between Amazon’s network and their infrastructure.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have four years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) working with major internet routing protocols BGP, OSPF and MPLS; and (2) working in a Linux or Unix environment. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
