We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our UK Technology team in the role of Senior Agile Delivery Manager.

You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of HSBC Retail Technology UK across a complex, high-value portfolio while influencing senior stakeholders, driving AI-enabled innovation and improving delivery across teams of 500+ people and portfolios exceeding $100m.

In this role you’ll:

• Oversee the planning and delivery cadence for the HSBC UK Retail Value Stream, aligning teams to outcomes, priorities and milestones
• Shape key elements of value stream strategy including multi-year planning, OpCo and Board strategy presentations, OKR definition and consultancy engagements
• Facilitate programme increment planning, release planning, system demonstrations, inspect-and-adapt events and other cross-team ceremonies
• Coordinate portfolio dependencies, risks, issues and delivery commitments across technology teams, business stakeholders and third parties
• Provide transparent reporting on progress, outcomes, financials, resourcing, risks and impediments through Retail Value Stream Sync and Quarterly Business Reviews
• Coach teams and leaders in Lean-Agile ways of working to strengthen collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Service Management, Cybersecurity, Risk and Control and other functions to maintain a prioritised delivery roadmap
• Remove or escalate impediments, resolve cross-team conflicts and enable timely decisions that protect delivery outcomes

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Bring proven experience as a Senior Agile Delivery Manager, Programme or Portfolio Manager or equivalent within a large complex technology organisation
• Demonstrate commercial and financial awareness including oversight of portfolios with >$100m in value and or teams of >500 FTE delivering material governed and inbound change
• Apply strong knowledge of Lean-Agile delivery at scale and coordinate multiple Agile teams through planning and delivery cycles
• Show experience managing dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, resources and governance across technology change
• Use facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills to influence senior leaders and challenge constructively when needed
• Bring understanding of modern engineering practices including DevOps, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, operational resilience and technology risk
• Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to turn delivery data into clear insights and actions
• Hold Agile, SAFe, programme delivery or project management certification or bring equivalent demonstrable experience
