Senior Software Engineer, Reporting and Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer, Reporting and Analytics to develop and maintain reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL, with the ability to transform complex business requirements into scalable reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions. The role involves close collaboration with customers, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, optimize, and support reporting platforms while ensuring performance, quality, and adherence to engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI, SSRS, and SQL Server.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
• Build interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and analytical reports in Power BI.
• Develop and optimize SSRS reports, datasets, stored procedures, and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Create and maintain data models, KPIs, measures, and reporting standards.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for reporting issues.
• Ensure report development follows coding standards, performance best practices, and governance guidelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, customer teams, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead requirement clarification, effort estimation, and solution design discussions.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive adoption of best practices within the reporting team.
• Support production deployments and resolve post-production issues with minimal business impact.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve report performance

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies.
• Knowledge of Power BI administration and governance.
• Experience working in customer-facing enterprise reporting environments.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
