Summary

E-INFOSOL LLC is seeking a highly motivated Information Systems Security Engineer to be a full-time employee in Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL to join our innovative and customer solutions focused team.

Job Description

The Information Systems Security Engineer will be able to identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans; architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services; and develop and interpret security policies and procedures. The Information Systems Security Engineer will also be expected to participate in security compliance efforts; develop and deliver training materials; perform general security awareness and specific security technology training; conduct acquisition and vendor risk assessment due diligence; evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies; participate in incident handling; participate in projects that develop new intellectual property; and evangelize security within the customer's company and be an advocate for customer trust.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with capability to obtain SCI/CI Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor of Science Information Technology or a related field of study - 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills

  • Perform security assessment checks on the cloud protection platform to ensure the security of the infrastructure and platform services.
  • Assess service provider security controls and the controls inherited by child entities.
  • Possess technical skills with auditing tools, intrusion detection/protection devices, security Benchmarks, Incident Response Handling, and NIST frameworks and publications.
  • Provide security suggestions on the implementation of best security practices in the DevSecOps process.
  • Perform technical activities for delivering effective and secure cloud hosting services.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms in a production environment, as well as development, quality-assurance and staging environments.
  • Identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services.
  • Report and brief to system owners, stakeholders, and leadership on security risks and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and interpret security policies and procedures; and mentor ISSOs.
  • Participate in security compliance efforts.

Desired Skills

  • Certification: CISSP or Security+ as a minimum
  • Working experience and knowledge of AWS GovCloud or Azure Government, Security Controls, NIST RMF
  • Demonstrated ability to lead solution design sessions.
  • Good understanding of cloud security, application security, cybersecurity
  • Good operating systems and networking environments
