Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, etc.), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in Bluetooth stack development.
- Experience in developing on other Bluetooth stack architectures.
- Experience coding in C++, and Java.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

The team's focus is on providing seamless connectivity using Bluetooth technology and delivering key experiences for the users.
The team owns the Connectivity and Better Together technologies for Android, within the Android ecosystem; Work on the leading edge Bluetooth technologies, deeper integration into android system with a focus on XR platforms and help scale that across all of Android; Develop features on android platform stack and help scale across first-party and third-party products.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop new features and technologies within the Better Together - Connectivity domain with a focus on XR experiences.
- Implement and maintain Android Bluetooth Connectivity stack for both first-party and third-party devices.
- Collaborate with both internal, external and partner teams to refine and define the Bluetooth stack and scaling it to the industry.
- Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management, and program management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
- Highly visible, impactful and critical area with lots of room for growth and impact.
