Senior Android Developer – Automotive Infotainment

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer who is passionate about creating high-quality, customer-facing experiences within automotive infotainment systems.

In this role, you will develop and maintain Android applications and platform features used by customers every day, with a particular focus on profile management and multi-user functionality.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, Software Developers, and other engineering teams to deliver robust and intuitive user experiences. The role requires strong Android application development skills, while experience with AOSP and Android Automotive OS (AAOS) is highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer-facing Android applications and features.

• Develop functionality related to user profiles and multi-user experiences.

• Work across Android application and platform layers.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other development teams.

• Develop and maintain automated tests, primarily using Python.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, development tooling, and automation.

• Work within large and complex code repositories.

• Drive technical improvements and take ownership of solutions.

• Support delivery of robust solutions from concept through production.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.

• Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin.

• Strong experience developing Android applications.

• Experience with or good knowledge of AOSP and/or Android Automotive OS (AAOS).

• Good understanding of Android Framework concepts, including:

• User profiles and multi-user functionality

• Permissions

• Application lifecycle

• Experience developing and maintaining Python-based test automation.

• Strong experience with Git and Linux-based development environments.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and development automation.

• Experience working with large and complex software repositories.

• Ability to take technical ownership, identify improvements, and propose solutions.

• Basic knowledge of C++ and ability to understand lower-level platform code.

Meritorious Experience

• Automotive infotainment development experience.

• Hands-on experience with Android Automotive OS.

• Experience with AOSP/platform-level Android development.

• Vehicle troubleshooting and fault tracing.

• Experience with Android version upgrades and platform uplifts.

• University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Valid Swedish B driving licence.
