Java Backend Developer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our IT Services team, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining robust server-side applications. This position is critical for ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our microservices architecture. Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable backend services using Spring Boot and microservices patterns.

• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for relational databases using SQL.

• Implement data persistence layers utilizing Hibernate and JPA frameworks.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between systems.

• Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and minimize production defects.

• Manage version control workflows and collaborate on code reviews using Git.

• Apply software design patterns to create maintainable and efficient code structures.

• Handle concurrent processing and performance tuning through advanced multithreading techniques.

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to support iterative development cycles.

• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to maintain system stability and uptime.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

• Proficiency in Core Java, including a strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency.

• Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework and its ecosystem.

• Deep knowledge of Hibernate and JPA for object-relational mapping.

• Strong command of SQL and relational database management systems.

• Proven track record in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Expertise in microservices architecture and design principles.

• Solid understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.

• Ability to write effective unit tests and follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.

• Competence in applying standard software design patterns to solve complex problems.
