Project Role : Database Administrator Project Role Description : Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution. Summary: As a Database Administrator, your typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. You will be responsible for installing database management systems and ensuring their smooth operation. Daily tasks include developing and refining procedures to manage routine maintenance and swiftly resolve any issues that arise, ensuring data integrity and availability. Collaboration with various teams to optimize database performance and reliability is a key aspect of your role, along with monitoring system health and planning for future capacity requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and security. - Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing. - Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in database-related tasks.
Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Security. - Experience with user access management and role-based permissions within SAP environments. - Knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques to ensure data protection. - Familiarity with database auditing and compliance requirements. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. - Understanding of security protocols and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Security. - This position is based at our BDC11 - SEZ office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
