About the job
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong foundation in signal processing and software development to help shape algorithms and embedded software for advanced wireless systems. You will work across the full development cycle, from exploring algorithm concepts and system requirements to implementation, integration, and testing on embedded platforms. We believe you have solid experience with digital signal processing, C/C++, and embedded systems, combined with an understanding of radio or wireless communications. Analytical, systematic, and self-driven, you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating closely across signal-processing, modem, RF, software, and hardware teams.
Key Responsibilities
Signal Processing & Algorithm Development
- Develop, analyze, and model signal-processing algorithms for wireless systems.
- Translate system requirements and algorithm concepts into clear software requirements and design choices.
- Work on relevant PHY functions, such as filtering, synchronization, channel estimation, equalization, and detection.
Embedded Software Development
- Integrate and implement signal-processing algorithms into embedded software and modem systems.
- Collaborate with firmware, RF, and hardware engineers to resolve integration issues and understand system constraints.
Test Development & Verification
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and system tests for algorithms and embedded software.
- Compare implementation results with algorithm models or reference data.
- Validate behavior in simulation and on hardware, and contribute to lab or over-the-air testing when needed.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Signal Processing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in signal processing, algorithm development, or embedded software.
- Strong understanding of digital signal-processing fundamentals and experience applying them to algorithm development.
- Solid software-development skills in C and/or C++, including experience with embedded systems.
- Experience developing tests for software or algorithms.
- Foundational knowledge of radio communications or wireless communication systems.
Personal Skills
- Analytical approach to understanding algorithms and system behavior.
- Systematic approach to implementation and testing.
- Clear communicator who works effectively across software, algorithm, RF, and hardware teams.
- Self-driven and comfortable working through technically challenging problems.
