At kp, we are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst Americas who will be responsible for providing data-driven commercial and financial insights that support profitable growth, pricing excellence, working capital optimization, business performance, and strategic decision-making across assigned markets, customer segments and product portfolios. The role acts as a trusted business partner to Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Pricing Teams by transforming data into actionable recommendations and driving actions that improve revenue, margin, cash generation and overall business performance.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted business partner to Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Finance teams.
- Analyze commercial performance, revenue, profitability, pricing, margins and customer trends across markets and segments.
- Analyze customer, product and market profitability and recommend and drive actions to improve business performance and margin development.
- Monitor working capital performance, customer payment behavior, overdue balances and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and drive improvement actions.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify performance gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and support regular business reviews with commercial leadership teams, identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Challenge commercial assumptions and provide fact-based recommendations to improve profitability and cash generation.
- Monitor and track key commercial and financial KPIs and provide regular performance reporting to management.
- Build financial models, business cases and scenario analyses to support strategic projects, investment decisions and commercial initiatives.
- Evaluate contracts, commercial agreements and business opportunities through financial and profitability assessments.
- Support major commercial negotiations through financial analysis and fact-based recommendations.
- Support credit risk assessments, payment-term reviews and commercial decisions impacting cash flow and working capital.
- Lead and support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning activities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and management reports using BI and data visualization tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency and transparency across reporting systems and business processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, performance management, automation and decision-support tools.
- Participate in cross-functional and international projects focused on growth, productivity, process improvement and operational excellence.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Business Analytics, Financial Planning & Analysis(FP&A), Commercial Excellence or Controlling within an international manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supporting commercial organizations, sales teams and strategic business initiatives.
- Experience with profitability analysis, forecasting, budgeting and business case development.
- Experience within packaging, manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environments is advantageous.
Functional & Technical Skills / Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and scenario planning skills.
- Strong understanding of commercial KPIs, profitability drivers, working capital and value creation.
- Strong knowledge of pricing, margin management and revenue analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP, BI/BW, Power BI and Salesforce preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making at different organizational levels.
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and influence without formal authority.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills.
- Fluent English; additional languages are beneficial.
