Job DetailsJob Location: 1500 WEST CHURCH STREET - ORLANDO, FL 32805Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.00 HourlyNew York International Bread Company is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Quality Assurance Technicians. As a high-volume commercial bakery based in Orlando, Florida, we produce breads, bagels, and pretzels for major customers across Central Florida. Since our founding in 1985, we have continued to grow and expand, and we are looking for team members who take pride in maintaining product quality and food safety standards. Position Summary Quality Assurance Technicians are responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards throughout the production process. Benefits (Full-Time Employees) Paid Time Off after 1 year of service Competitive pay rates aligned with local market standards 5 paid holidays Medical and dental insurance available after 60 days Essential Functions Work early morning shifts beginning at 4:30 AM Maintain a clean and organized work environment Operate equipment as required Follow and enforce GMPs and food safety protocols Perform product specification checks across multiple product lines Identify, report, and assist in resolving food safety and quality issues Notify management of any equipment issues or needed repairs Take corrective action to prevent nonconforming products Hold and control nonconforming product until resolved Conduct production and quality checks as assigned Discard defective product and report irregularities to minimize waste Ensure consistency and quality across all departments Support other departments as needed Enforce company policies consistently and fairly Observe and report safety concerns Maintain attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts Qualifications Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Familiarity with standard units of measurement and tools (e.g., scale, ruler) Ability to ensure products meet established specifications Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 6 consecutive hours) Working knowledge of company policies, including GMPs, safety procedures, HACCP, and SQF standards Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass a pre-employment drug screening Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
