Full description

My responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for data consumers and capture, qualify, and frame incoming data requests
  • Clarify the business problem, target outcome, decision context, and expected value together with stakeholders
  • Identify the required data, source systems, fields, granularity, constraints, and relevant source-system contacts
  • Define scope, transformations, acceptance criteria, and handover artefacts for each request
  • Translate requirements into development-ready user stories and support backlog refinement with agile delivery teams
  • Configure the SAP Data Product Generator to define custom data products in SAP BDC
  • Provide value, urgency, dependencies, and business context to support prioritisation and delivery planning
  • Keep internal customers informed about status, trade-offs, and next steps throughout the request lifecycle 

The knowledge I own:

  • 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or requirements engineering in a large organisation
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business problems and translate them into clear, development-ready data needs
  • Strong requirements-engineering skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready specifications
  • Good data literacy, including data models, source fields, joins, granularity, and SQL-based analysis
  • Practical experience working in agile teams and supporting a smooth handover from discovery into delivery
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate effectively between business and technical audiences
