About the Role

This is a high-impact design role at a fast-growing AI-powered learning platform reaching tens of millions of students across 30+ countries. You'll sit at the center of a major push toward AI-native product experiences and elite design craft, with direct access to C-level leadership to shape the product vision from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Own entire product areas end-to-end — from conception through delivery — shipping ideas to millions of students within days alongside engineering and leadership.
  • Raise the quality bar across everything students see and interact with, setting a new standard through UI excellence and motion design.
  • Build and scale a design system from the ground up, including curated references, reusable components, and review practices that make quality easy to replicate.
  • Pioneer AI-native design by developing AI-assisted workflows and product experiences that transform how the team researches, ideates, and ships.
  • Mentor more junior designers and act as the team's reference point for craft and detail.

What We're Looking For

  • Several years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates work moving metrics and delighting users — portfolio weight matters more than title or tenure.
  • Deep craft obsession: you sweat the details, push back until the bar is raised, and see polish as part of the design, not a finishing step.
  • Active, enthusiastic user of AI tools across prototyping, research, and shipping — you treat AI as a force multiplier, not a curiosity.
  • Systems thinker who scales quality through code-first design systems, AI-powered design reviews, or whatever approach works at speed and scale.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex user journeys into experiences that feel obvious and intuitive.
  • Strong bias toward action: you default to prototypes over decks and experiments over debate.
  • Builder mentality — bonus points if you've shipped a side project end-to-end or contributed to a codebase.
  • Background in consumer apps, EdTech, or other fast-paced, user-facing product environments is a strong plus.
  • Collaborative, direct communicator with no ego around ownership or feedback.

Location

On-site in Berlin, Germany. Visa sponsorship is not available.
