Job Summary:
The Sr. Product Manager utilizes technical skills to define and manage the development of products with cross-functional teams. This position engages in technical research, product architecture, definition, marketing, and pre/post-sales support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Familiar on latest data center technologies and Supermicro embedded products, knowledge of GPU systems preferred
- Work with product managers and system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activities
- Proactively engage in learning and researching new technologies and products to propose new Proof of Concepts
- Work with Sales, FAE, and customers to provide networking solution and technical knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 8 years of system engineering experience
- Familiar with server architecture (including CPU, GPU, Memory, Serdes, Switch, NIC, Storage and PCIe) and OS concept, and knowledge in distributed computing a plus
- Experience in Program Management of large scale AI system products, from engagement, architecture, NPI, EVT, DVT, PVT to deployment and fleet sustainment
- Knowledge in configuring Ubuntu, Redhat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server
- Basic experiences in scripting languages (Linux Shell, C, Python)
- Knowledge with server hardware management, ie: BMC, BIOS and OOB management
- Strong technical writing and good communication skills
- Knowledge of server systems, PC systems, and computer peripherals is highly desired
- Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Creative thinker, to develop new strategies and solutions
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Solid communications skills, both verbal and written
Salary Range
$162,000 - $182,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
