Amazon Global Selling (AGS) has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today, more than 50% of Amazon's total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon's 18 overseas stores, and supporting local sellers' success and growth on Amazon. Our vision is to be the first choice for all types of Chinese business to go globally.
The Global Selling Product & Program team in AGS collaborates with many of Amazon's global teams to support the high-growth Global Selling business, continuously identify new opportunities, and drive new initiatives through design, development, launch, and post-launch management. As AI becomes increasingly central to our seller experience strategy, we are building AI-powered products and tools to drive seller growth and success, and support internal teams' efficiency and productivity. We are looking for a talented Principal Product Manager to join the team and lead the development of AI products that transform how sellers operate and grow on Amazon. The ideal candidate should be strong at understanding internal and external customer needs, identifying pain points, analyzing working models, deriving patterns, and designing AI-driven solutions. He/she also needs to work across teams - including engineering, data science, UX, and business stakeholders - to launch products, manage product releases, engage user organizations, handle change management, establish stakeholder communication, and be responsible for the ultimate success of product launches against defined goals in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities * Define and drive AI product strategy across the Global Selling Seller segments and lifecycle, leveraging GenAI and machine learning technologies to build innovative products/services that help seller growth and optimize AM workflows, and continuously drive product success post launch * Translate complex AI/ML capabilities into intuitive product experiences, clearly defining product requirements that balance technical feasibility with user needs and business impact * Collaborate with and earn trust from internal stakeholders and external partners, including data scientists and ML engineers, to design and align AI-powered system solutions * Work with technology teams to develop AI products, evaluate AI/ML model performance, resolve issues, and manage development cycles with understanding of AI product development lifecycle * Drive responsible AI practices, ensuring products meet quality, fairness, and safety standards while delivering business value * Manage stakeholder and leadership communications including problem statement and analysis, AI solution review, business/impact review, budget/HC planning, stakeholder change management, etc. * Define success metrics and KPIs for AI products, establishing frameworks to measure product performance, user adoption, and business impact post-launch * Stay current with AI/ML trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to incorporate new capabilities into the product roadmap
Basic Qualifications: - 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience as a product manager or owner
