The Amazon Business (AB) Japan team is seeking a talented Sr. Product Manager to drive the development of small business customers. On “Amazon Business” is a new marketplace to meet the procurement needs of enterprises include every size – from small business to large multi-national organization, as well as institutional buyers like universities, schools and public offices. AB customers benefit from a range of business-tailored features such as Pay by Invoice, and reporting and analytics to gain visibility into how their business is spending. Enterprises can take advantage of exclusive pricing and quantity discounts. All of this is added to the selection, convenience and value customers expected from Amazon.

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will have the responsibility to identify opportunities, define strategies and growth roadmaps within a defined scope of work, to launch projects, initiatives and/or product features to drive more value to our customers and increase their engagement within AB. You will work closely with marketing managers, tech teams, vendors, and other internal teams in JP and other marketplaces to make more customers explore Amazon Business and purchase products.

The person must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, possess a strategic mindset, manage changing priorities, and work with a high degree of autonomy. The candidate will also need to develop an in-depth understanding of the business and champion the needs of AB Japan small business customers, in order to deliver sustainable growth both in revenue and profitability.

Key job responsibilities - Own and lead the strategic initiatives for AB small business(companies) working together with partner teams within Japan and WW. - Identify growth opportunities by investigating and analyzing the Japan B2B market and the needs of small business customers - Actively identify strategic and tactical issues that impair the ability to meet strategic, financial, and product roadmap goals - Deliver solutions to eliminate blockers for growth opportunities and issue resolution by working with partner teams - Build strong internal relationships across Amazon including teams from other markets. Influence internal teams including other regions to deliver the right results for our business growth.

A day in the life As a Sr. PM within AB Japan, you will start your day catching up with your WW peers, while reviewing your key metrics to prepare for your weekly/periodical business review meeting. You will engage in follow ups with your partner teams to assess the status of the upcoming initiatives and/or launches, while sometimes presenting a document to request support for an exciting growth opportunity. You will be running analyses, like your latest launch's post-mortem or a dive deep of a particular trend. Sometimes, you will also find yourself writing documents to update the AB Leadership.

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with end to end product delivery - Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights - Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders - Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Advanced level of Japanese (able to negotiate externally, able to make presentations to management team) - Intermediate level of English (able to attend internal meetings, able to negotiate internally)

Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or equivalent - Experience with data analysis and SQL - 2+ years of B2B environment experience
