JOB DESCRIPTION: The Database Administrator is responsible for designing, building, and managing the data conversion process for integrating existing systems into CHC’s Radiology Information System (RIS). This role supports the implementation of database solutions tailored to clinical workflows and customer requirements. Responsibilities include SQL scripting, troubleshooting, and collaboration with internal teams and clients to ensure efficient and accurate data migration. The role also involves contributing to tool development, process improvement, and supporting multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement databases based on user requirements and workflows
  • Develop SQL scripts for data migration and integration with CHC’s RIS
  • Troubleshoot and maintain customer-installed databases
  • Participate in internal and customer-facing design discussions
  • Support quoting processes for custom database work
  • Create tools and scripts to improve database process efficiency
  • Assist with database loading, record cleanup, and report scripting
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide support under tight deadlines and evolving technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field
  • Minimum 4 years of industry-related experience
  • Expertise in SQL+, MS SQL, and PL/SQL scripting
  • Experience with RIS systems is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication
