JOB DESCRIPTION: The Database Administrator is responsible for hands-on data migration, data conversion, validation, and reconciliation for integrating existing systems into CHC’s Radiology Information System (RIS). This role requires advanced SQL and MS SQL Server expertise, including custom SQL queries, SQL updates, SQL scripting, and T-SQL development to support accurate and efficient database implementations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting missing or incorrect records, resolving data quality issues, collaborating with internal teams and clients, and supporting multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic healthcare technology environment. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement database solutions based on user requirements, workflows, and customer data needs
  • Perform hands-on data migration and data conversion from legacy or customer systems into CHC’s RIS
  • Develop custom SQL queries, SQL updates, SQL scripts, and T-SQL routines to support data integration and cleanup
  • Conduct data validation and reconciliation to confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated records
  • Troubleshoot missing, duplicate, or incorrect records and resolve data quality issues in customer-installed databases
  • Support ETL processes and contribute to SSIS-based workflows where applicable
  • Participate in internal and customer-facing design discussions related to data conversion and database implementation
  • Support quoting processes for custom database work
  • Create tools and scripts to improve database process efficiency
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide support under tight deadlines and evolving technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of industry-related database, data migration, or data conversion experience
  • Advanced SQL and MS SQL Server experience, including custom queries, SQL updates, and performance-aware scripting
  • Strong SQL scripting and T-SQL development skills
  • Hands-on experience with data migration, data conversion, data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
  • Experience troubleshooting missing, incorrect, duplicate, or inconsistent records across databases
  • ETL and SSIS experience preferred
  • Healthcare, RIS, radiology, or medical imaging experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage concurrent complex projects and timelines
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
